Village Nature Walk
Seasonal nature walk resource connecting marked routes around the village; one for each season identifying areas of specific interest ie. rare flowers, evidence of wildlife, viewpoints of the church and other heritage buildings. Includes information about the suggested Saxon origins of the village name (derived from Old English for tree stump, ‘stybb’, and land cleared for settlement ie. a meadow or ‘ing’)

Village Spring Clean
Work in collaboration with the Stebbing PC ‘Great Stebbing Litter Pick’ to make greater impact by additional cleaning of signs, war memorial and clearing of paths.

See Easter Community Day.
June
Love your Burial Ground Week/Churches Count on Nature - counting and recording wildlife, lichen identification, picnic, reduce/reuse/recycle activities. Connected to national Volunteer Week.
Sept/Oct
Harvest Home. Harvest Supper, collection for foodbank donations, ‘sports day’ activities, scarecrow trail.

Ecology Projects
A trained Ecologist will help us to explore nature in the church & grounds; identifying & recording species, developing resources & training to support care & conservation of habitats, creation of learning resources, delivery of activities such as the RSPB Birdwatch.
